The Brightlingsea Royal British Legion will be holding our Remembrance Service at 11.00 am at the Memorial Gardens. We shall not hold a further service in the afternoon as in previous years, due to the pandemic. We ask any person who wishes to attend as a spectator to comply with Government’s guidelines i.e. keep 2 metres apart and not in groups of more than 6 people while at the Memorial Gardens, and where possible wear appropriate face coverings. Members of any organisation not listed below, or members of the public that wish to lay a wreath or flowers, can do so after the service has taken place and the dais area is clear.
The following members who will be laying a wreath this year, are the only people permitted within the gated area (following the current Government guidelines of 6) during the service: Vicar (Rev Caroline Beckett); Brightlingsea Town Mayor; President of Brightlingsea Royal British Legion Branch; President of Brightlingsea RBL Club; President of the Royal Naval Association; Deputy of Cinque Port Liberty Brightlingsea. Wreaths can be obtained from the Royal British Legion club at 10.30 am on the day. Thank you for your understanding.
