With all the Churches Together in Brightlingsea we remember Jesus ‘trial’, torture, crucifixion, death and burial. Followed by (optional) march of witness to the fountain in Lower Green and then back to church for hot cross buns! But you have to wait til Easter Day to know what happens next……..!

Wild Lent on Holy Saturday @ All Saints Churchyard

Come and explore God in creation in our ancient church yard (2nd largest in the country). Ending with the service of First Fire to mark the anticipation of Jesus resurrection, with toasted marshmallows (sweetness to contrast with the bitterness of Good Friday). For all ages but especially children.

With activities, songs, stories and prayers, this is an informal way to learn about and meet with God, taking place in St James on the 3rd Sunday of each month.  For children from ages 3 – 12. Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents or carers of children of 4 or over are encouraged to stay. Admission is free. The aim is to encourage children into faith and help them to grow into a relationship with God in a fun and engaging way, and to provide an alternative experience to the adult style of worship and learning. (Sung Holy Communion will still take place simultaneously at All Saints)

Due to the coronavirus outbreak and the fact the Vicar has had to self-isolate, this service which was to be held in the back garden of the home of Geoff and Catherine Graham is now cancelled.

Celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Sung Eucharist with communion (with provision for young children). We are the Easter people and Alleluia is our song! – attributed to St Augustine NB On the 3rd Sunday of the month 8.00 Communion and 10.00 Parish Eucharist are celebrated at All Saints (except 3rd Sunday of Dec. when they are at St James). When there is a 5th Sunday in a month the 10.00 service is All-Age Worship at St James.
