All Saints with St James Brightlingsea

School

Rev. Caroline Beckett and Rev. Judith Gibbons visit Brightlingsea Primary School for Assemblies and our Church organist Chris Bloor teaches shanties and seasonal songs to the school’s award-winning choir. The school visit us twice a year – at Easter for the 2 weeks of the Easter Prayer Trail (years 1 to 6) and at Christmas for the Upper School and Lower School Christmas Assemblies. Each class from the Primary School enters a piece of artwork for the Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints’ each year.

Members of the Colne Community School attend Remembrance services and visit us each year on the first Monday in December at All Saints’ Church for the Choosing Day service and ceremony where the new Deputy of the Cinque Port Liberty of Brightlingsea is elected and the new Freemen, Deputy and Deputy’s Assistant(s) take their ancient oaths.

Both Schools have been involved in producing artwork for the All Saints’ Project.
